The Mitre Box is the only picture framing business in Baltimore that concentrates exclusively on custom framing, and that's the way it has been for the nearly 40 years that we've been in business. We don't sell art supplies or art or jewelry or china or scrapbooking supplies. We just do the best custom framing possible with the finest materials and the most talented staff in the area.

When you walk in the door past examples of our work, you will be in the design area and will see the extensive selection of mouldings that we have available. You will then be greeted by a staff member who will guide you through the framing process.

At The Mitre Box we feel that every job is personal and give the same amount of attention to a child's first painting as we do to your diploma from college, or a collection of ancient artifacts, or a valuable piece of art by a contemporary master.

If your artwork or frame need the expertise of a conservator, we can guide you to an expert in this field. Also, if required, we can recommend a service for delivery and installation.

All work is done on the premises and is handled with the utmost care and respect.
